SubhoSpellRupees — Excel Currency Speller
Automatic Indian Currency Speller for Microsoft Excel — System-wide .xlam Add-In with automated 1-click installation script.
Accountants and clerks routinely have to type out Indian Rupee amounts in words (e.g. "Rupees One Lakh Only") on cheques, invoices, and vouchers — a slow, repetitive task, and Excel has no built-in function for the Indian lakh/crore numbering system.
A system-wide Excel Add-In (.xlam) that installs once and adds a formula to spell out any amount into Indian Rupees-in-words automatically, following the lakh/crore convention, available in every workbook — with a 1-click installer so non-technical users can set it up themselves.
Manual word-typing is eliminated entirely — spelling any amount is instant and error-free. It's free and open-source, so any business or accountant in India can use it.
